Reyee RAP Series (Wi-Fi 6 / 6E)

Reyee RAP is the SMB-focused Wi-Fi 6 / 6E access point family from Ruijie Networks. The line spans wall-plate models (RAP1200), indoor ceiling-mount (RAP2200, RAP2260) and Wi-Fi 6E flagship (RAP6260) units, addressing every common SMB radio footprint — from a 30-room boutique hotel to a 200-store retail chain.

The differentiator is operational simplicity. A retail or hospitality customer with no dedicated networking team can scan a QR code from the Ruijie Cloud mobile app, claim the device, push a pre-built configuration template and bring the access point online in minutes. For multi-site customers this means a new branch can be brought live by a non-technical on-site contact while engineering monitors remotely.

Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E technical depth. The RAP series supports OFDMA and MU-MIMO downlink/uplink, BSS Coloring, TWT (Target Wake Time) for IoT power saving, and WPA3-Personal/Enterprise. The Wi-Fi 6E SKUs (RAP6260) unlock the 6 GHz band — 1,200 MHz of additional spectrum that is uncongested in most retail and hospitality environments and effectively eliminates the channel-contention problems characteristic of crowded high-street locations.

Mesh and roaming. The RAP series supports self-organising mesh — wireless uplinks between access points where Ethernet cabling is impractical (heritage buildings, leased retail, conference fit-outs). Roaming is fast-roaming compliant: 802.11k (neighbour reports), 802.11v (BSS transition management) and 802.11r (Fast BSS Transition). Guest Wi-Fi and captive portal. The RAP series and Ruijie Cloud include a captive portal that is locale-customisable (English, Turkish and 20+ other languages), brandable to the customer's identity and operable with social login (Facebook, Google), SMS one-time-password, email verification and voucher schemes. For hospitality customers this delivers a compliant guest network with GDPR-aligned data retention policies; for retail it supports email opt-in collection and loyalty-programme integration. Customer authentication logs can be exported to the customer's CRM or marketing automation platform.

PoE-powered operations. The RAP series is powered by PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at, 30 W) — eliminating local mains wiring and enabling deployment on standard PoE+ switches such as Reyee NBS or Ruijie RG-NBS. Power budget is logged centrally in Ruijie Cloud, supporting facilities planning during fleet refresh.

Cloud management at scale. A 200-store retail chain or a 50-hotel chain manages every access point — fleet status, client count, top applications, alarm history — from a single Ruijie Cloud tenant. MSP mode partitions tenants per customer, so Sora Yazılım as an authorized partner can run dozens of distinct customer estates from one operator console.

Security posture. WPA3-Personal and WPA3-Enterprise, role-based access for the management plane, audit logging, scheduled radio shutdowns (off-hours) and PCI-DSS-aligned wireless configurations are documented in Sora Yazılım runbooks. For PCI-DSS scope, guest Wi-Fi is segmented to a VLAN that cannot route to the cardholder data environment, and rogue access point detection is enabled at the controller layer.

Comparing against FortiAP. The two product families serve different buyers. FortiAP integrates with FortiGate — making it the obvious choice when the customer is standardised on Fortinet for next-generation firewalling, SD-WAN and security fabric. Reyee RAP costs 30–50% less for comparable Wi-Fi 6 silicon and is the better fit for customers who do not need a unified security fabric. Comparing against Reyee NBS / Ruijie RG-AP. Reyee NBS is the matching switch family for RAP — same management plane, identical onboarding flow. The Ruijie RG-AP series is the enterprise tier, used for high-density hospitality (300+ room hotels), university campuses and manufacturing sites where 802.11ax / 802.11be feature depth, dedicated WLAN controller support and higher per-AP client counts are required.

Compliance posture for EU, UK and MEA customers. The Reyee RAP firmware supports GDPR-aligned guest data handling (retention windows, right-to-erasure on the captive portal, DPA-compliant data export). ISO 27001 controls are mapped through Sora Yazılım's operating documentation: change management, access control, vulnerability management and incident response. Integration with property management systems (PMS). For hospitality customers the RAP series integrates with PMS platforms (Opera, Mews, Cloudbeds and others) through Ruijie Cloud APIs — guest credentials provisioned on check-in, automatically revoked on check-out, billing data passed through to the PMS for in-room Wi-Fi tier purchases. The portal supports per-room SSIDs (room number as SSID name for premium tiers), conference SSIDs (event-coded credentials for groups) and a unified loyalty SSID across all hotel properties in a chain.

Data export and BI integration. Ruijie Cloud surfaces device telemetry, client telemetry, captive-portal opt-in data and application visibility data via REST API. Sustainability and refresh planning. Reyee RAP devices have a typical service lifetime of 5–7 years in commercial environments. Sora Yazılım operates a phased refresh programme where ageing radios are rotated out in capacity-led tranches — top traffic stores first, lowest-traffic stores last — minimising disruption.
